Before entering private practice, Cindy served for fourteen years as Vice-President, General Counsel and Secretary of Smythe, Cramer Co., now Howard Hanna Real Estate Services.  Thereafter, she was a partner at a prominent Cleveland based law firm, where she co-chaired the real estate practice group.

At Coakley Lammert, Cindy’s practice focuses on real estate and professional liability defense litigation.  She represents residential and commercial real estate brokerages, real estate trade associations, individual buyers and sellers, inspectors, appraisers, and title and escrow companies throughout Ohio, and frequently practices before the Ohio Division of Real Estate and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission.  She serves as outside general counsel to numerous real estate brokerages in transactional, risk management, compliance, and employment matters.  

Cindy often speaks at continuing education classes for real estate professionals and lawyers, including at the Ohio Association of REALTORS’ annual conventions and the Northern Ohio Regional Multiple Listing Service.  She has been honored as an Ohio Superlawyer and is peer-rated by the Martindale-Hubbell® directory as AV®Preeminent, the highest level of professional excellence.
